Dhaka metro rail paragraph
Metro rail is a high-capacity railway system. It is also called Rapid Transit system. It usually has tracks above street level on elevated structures that are constructed of steel or concrete. It is one of the fastest ways of commute in large cities. With a view to saving Dhaka from unbearable traffic jams, the construction work of a metro rail project is speeding up. The project will be completed in two phases. Officially known as the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Line-6, metro rail service is expected to carry near about 60,000 passengers per hour once it is completed. It is expected to significantly reduce the travel time inside Dhaka city. The project is anticipated to save Tk. 200 billion per year. This large amount of money will be a huge additionto our fast growing economy. However, since the start of the project, Dhaka city dwellers have been facing difficulties due to heavy traffic jams. Such situation is caused by the ongoing excavation for the metro rail. Nevertheless, people are enthusiastically bearing with these temporary difficulties. Because they know that it will save thousands of work-hours by reducing traffic jams. It will also offer the city dwellers a comfortable life. Hence, it will not be wrong to say that metro rail has opened a gateway to a modern and comfortable future.

মেট্রোরেল
মেট্রোরেল হচ্ছে উচ্চ ক্ষমতাসম্পন্ন রেলপথ যোগাযোগ। এটাকে র্যাপিড ট্রানজিট সিস্টেমও বলা হয়ে থাকে। এটা এক ধরনের ইস্পাত ও কংক্রিট নির্মিত উত্তোলিত এক ধরনের কাঠামো যা সড়ক পথের ওপরে নির্মিত হয়। বড় বড় শহরগুলোর দ্রুত যানগুলোর মধ্যে এটা অন্যতম। ঢাকা শহরকে দুর্বিসহ যানযট থেকে মুক্ত করার অভিপ্রায়ে মেট্রোরেল প্রকল্পের কাজ দ্রুত এগিয়ে চলছে। দু'টি পর্বে প্রকল্পটি সম্পন্ন হবে। আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে প্রকল্পটি মাস র্যাপিড ট্রানজিট বা সংক্ষেপে এমআরটি নামে পরিচিত। এই লাইন-৬ মেট্রোরেল পরিসেবাটি চালু হলে তা প্রতি ঘণ্টায় ষাট হাজার যাত্রী আনা-নেওয়া করতে পারবে। আশা করা হচ্ছে এই পরিসেবা ঢাকা শহরের ভ্রমণ-সময়কে অনেকাংশে হ্রাস করবে। বছরে এই পরিসেবা দুইশত বিলিয়ন টাকা খরচ কমাতে সাহায্য করবে। এই বড় অঙ্কের মুদ্রা আমাদের দ্রুতবর্ধনশীল অর্থনীতিতে এক অতিরিক্ত * সংযোজন হবে। প্রকল্পটি যাত্রা শুরু করার পর থেকে ঢাকাবাসী চরম যানযটের মুখোমুখি হচ্ছে। মেট্রোরেলের জন্য চলমান খনন কাজের কারণে বেশির ভাগ এটা ঘটছে। লোকজন এটাকে সাময়িক দুর্ভোগ মনে করে সহ্য করছে। কারণ তারা জানে যে, এটা একসময় হাজার হাজার শ্রমঘণ্টাকে বাঁচিয়ে দিবে/হ্রাস করবে। এমনকী এটা শহরবাসীকে এক আরামপ্রদ জীবনের আশাও দেখাচ্ছে। এটা বললে অত্যুক্তি হবে না যে, মেট্রোরেল আধুনিক ও আরামপ্রদ ভবিষ্যতের দরজা খুলে দিতে যাচ্ছে
